We are never farther into the realm of conjecture than when we posit what God thinks or how God views things. We have to be careful trying to come from this angle which is always inaccessible to us.

The question is not if Scripture is relevant or not. The question is to determine how Scripture is relevant. We can’t assume that we know how automatically. Relevancy is where what Scripture meant meets us where we are and becomes what it means now. This is an ongoing process. Please understand, I am not suggesting we should do this, I am pointing out that we already do this, all the time, any time we read Scripture and apply it to our lives. Better to do that intentionally and thoughtfully than assumptively and haphazardly.
